Chai - Classic
Chai recipes vary greatly, but the classic ingredients: peppercorn, cardamom, and ginger are well represented here. We've rounded out the mix with cassia-cinnamon, clove, and orange for complementary flavor. Choose a black tea such as Assam to complete the beverage or for a caffeine-free treat, Rooibos is a good substitution for a black tea.
Use 1-2 teaspoons of chai spice per cup of water. Simmer together for 3-4 minutes, and then steep with black tea. Add milk and sweetner to taste.
