Pasilla Oaxaca chiles are only grown in the hilly Oaxaca region of southern Mexico — because of this, they are a rare and much sought-after addition to the spice pantry. They have a strong smoky character, a hint of fruit, and a heat level that is pure and sharp.
Pasilla Oaxaca imparts rich flavor, pungent bite, and striking meatiness to Latin style bean dishes, dips, soups, moles, and more.
