Dian Hong - Golden Needle
Dian Hong is a classic Chinese black tea from Yunnan Province. Our variety comes from the large leaf pu-erh tea trees and is full of enormous golden buds. This Dian Hong gives off a rich chocolate fragrance when heated. When brewed the soup has a bold texture and flavour like hot chocolate and, like pu-erh, the sweetness develops with each brew. If the brew time is increased with each steeping, this tea's bold character will last for some time.
Brew for less then 1 minute to 2 minutes at about 205°F; 3 to 4 steepings.
