Vanilla Beans, Puree
What makes Madagascar vanilla beans so special? They are left on their vines to mature for six to eight months, and then cured for several months more. The result is sweet, full-bodied flavor and aroma that is highly prized for ice creams and desserts. You can use this puree in place of vanilla extract - roughly 1/3 teaspoon of the puree will be equivalent to 1 teaspoon of extract. The puree contains a little water and alcohol for fluidity, and comes in a 2 ounce jar.
