Camellia sinensis

This nice, deep Assam yields a satisfying cup. The Satrupa garden's production hints at a bit of fruit and has all of the traditional malty character that makes Assam famous. We think there's a bit of subtle cherry flavor that is particularly evident with the addition of milk in the British style. Pith helmets and elephant guns not required.

Brew 3-4 minutes at 210° F; 1 steeping.
