Nigella Seed is used extensively as a flavoring in India and to season the flat bread "naan". Experiment with toasting these tiny black seeds in a dry skillet and then adding to vegetable stir fries. We like to sprinkle Nigella on baked sweet potatoes. Enjoy them in Nigella Watermelon Salad or Five Seed Roasted Potatoes This is frequently mis-translated to be "black cumin" but that's a different plant called Kala Jeera; this is the genuine article. Comes from the "love-in-the-mist" plant that grows well here in the Pacific Northwest.
