Cardamom Pod Black

Black Cardamom is not a true cardamom at all, but a coarse brown pod containing about 40 seeds and bearing a decidedly earthy, smoky aroma. Not only are the seeds tasty in curries and rice dishes, but the pod husks make a great smoking agent when soaked and thrown over hot coals on the grill.
