Masalas are as diverse as the Indian people themselves and can include just about any spice. This one from the northern-most tip of India contains the relatively rare "kala jeera" or "black cumin" that grows wild in the state of Kashmir. All the spices are roasted separately including nutmeg and mace, spices not normally subjected to this. Give your next batch of "Gustaba" some serious authenticity or experiment with it in baking...we find Kashmiri Garam Masala has a serious affinity for chocolate (try it in fudge or brownies or our Kashmiri Garam Masala Pecans). Also contains: Casssia, Coriander, Cardamom, Clove and Tellicherry Black Pepper. This blend is salt free.
