This aromatic blend from the United Arab Emirates has it's roots in the spice islands. Cassia cinnamon chips are toasted alongside Tellicherry pepper, cumin, coriander and fennel and finished with just a hint of turmeric and a touch of mild chile flake. We first tried Besar as a rub on braised or roasted meat with great results, from chicken and pork to lamb and beef. Besar is the perfect spice to keep you feeling bright with winter squash or in our Besar Cranberry Chutney. This blend is salt free.
